Quodo Curated Classes – Tapas Masterclass, with HolaFoodie and Chef Roberto from Pizarro

For our first Curated Class, Quodo teamed up with Eduardo and Lara, from Spanish food blog, HolaFoodie, and Chef Roberto, from renowned Spanish restaurant Pizarro, to deliver a masterclass in classic tapas.

The class took place a stone’s throw from London’s Borough Market. After a quick tour of the market to pick up some essential ingredients, and catch a jamon demonstration at Brindisa deli, the class returned to take a whistlestop tour around Spain through local tapas classics.

There was the Catalan classic Pan amb tomaquet, Patatas bravas from Madrid, Gildas a Basque ‘pintxo’ (their take on tapas), Chorizo a la sidra from the northern region of Asturias, and a pork and serrano ham escalope, called Flamenquines, from Cordoba. All washed down with a sangria (done properly) which we learned was actually a British import.

Here are some photos of the class:

Here’s what our students had to say about the class:

“Great day out. Top food and drink. Insightful, informative and fun!”  5 stars –  Dan

“Illuminating, insightful and inspiring. Just the right mix of hands-on practice and enjoying watching someone else do the work!”  5 stars – Helen

“Fun learning experience – delicious food – easy to follow recipes. Learnt loads about tapas and Borough Market – thank you Eduardo, Lara & Roberto.”  5 stars – Fiona
